While looking through some old work I pulled out this version of a cabin at McLeod Plantation. Something about it I liked and debated whether to work on it more or not. I have done many versions of this and other cabins. After going to the Art Walk this weekend it is apparent that large scale abstract paintings are a trend. I am influenced by that and studying with abstract painters at Cullowhee Mountain Arts I understand more of the process. The painting below I did in Ken Kewley's class. Drawing with straight lines is difficult at first. But things come together.
